A cosy cottage on Estonia’s north coast with the sea and lots of places of interest nearby. Some 100 km from Tallinn and 25 km from Rakvere (small town, famous for its’ castle ruins). The cottage is approximately 1,5 km from the beach shown in picture. It has two floors and he most important equipment. The cottage is reasonably large, even for two families and has 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is basic, but probably youprefer to barbeque in the garden anyway. The cottage is located in a recreational area but the plot of land s large enough to ensure you’re not disturbed by neighbours. The north coast, east of Tallinn might be the area where there are the most places of interest in the smallest area. From this cottage you quickly reach for instance Lahemaa (land of bays) national park, the captain’s village of Käsmu, Viinistu with an art museum by the sea and Altja with a little open air museum. There are many really fine sand beaches along the coast, many of them with very few visitors. In Rakvere we recommend a visit to the castle ruins where there a lots of fun for the children, shooting with bow and arrow, the dungeon with a light-and-sound show and possibility to try on knights’ equipment. Several impressive manors, with museums, are also nearby, for instance Palmse, Sagadi and Vihula. The ruins of Toolse castle are also worth a visit and in Kunda (30 km) you may experience soviet and modern industrial landscape. Narva on the border to Russia is a comfortable day-trip (approx. 150 km), and if you go there you should make a detour to the coast at Ontika and look at the impressive Baltic clint and the waterfalls at Saka and Ontika. There are 3 bicycles at disposal.
