This house is not an ordinary guesthouse, which has been built as such – this house originally was intended for the proprietor’s own use. This is why the exclusive log building, surrounded by a forest and meadows, is so cosy and comfortable. It is located only 45 minutes drive away from Riga Oldtown. There are 4 bedrooms, a sauna and a Jacuzzi there. All living rooms are fitted with air-conditioners. There is under floor heating all through the house. The house is surrounded by a 3.5 ha landscaped territory.
On the first floor of the house there is a spacious living room, which is adjacent to a kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped, making meal preparation an enjoyable process. There is a ventilation system in place there, too. In addition, on the first floor there is a sauna there and a modern double shower cabin, combined with a Jacuzzi. The shower cabin has a built-in radio, as well as massage and steam sauna functions. The WC includes a bidet.
Approximately 50m away from the house there is a log terrace with a big table and benches – a place where you can have a cosy meal, being sheltered from the sun or the rain. Opposite the gazebo there is a campfire place and a grill. As the territory around the house is huge, it is impossible to cut the grass all at once, so it may happen that on some days the proprietor will come to do the work thus disturbing you a little. Approximately 100 metres away from the house there is a small wooden building – the proprietor may come to sleep overnight there (if he is not able to finish the lawn mowing in one day). Giving a timely notice to the proprietor it is possible to hire horses for a ride, as there is a small country farm a kilometre and a half away from the house, where you can hire a horse and 2 ponies (the ride will be accompanied by the owner of the horses). It is also possible to rent bicycles – these will be charged for separately. Should you wish to rent a bicycle, please, inform us or the owner of the house in good time.
35 km away south of the house there is a small, charming town – Bauska -, which is famous for its Middle Ages’ castle ruins. You can find more information in English at the homepage of the Bauska’s castle. In addition, there is a branch of the Riga Motormuseum, where many Soviet time (and older) cars can be seen. More information can be found at the homepage of the Riga Motormuseum.
